![]() And I spared a lot of time looking up weapons on the Wiki - I dread to think how much time I spent on that. But I spent 110 hours on Dark Souls 1 and about 100 on Dark Souls 2 - a lot depends on much co-op time you spend, or how much you put into invading or fighting other players. Its useful that we all live near each other, so we had least one session a week in the same room where we could see what the others were talking about. And figure out multiplayer, both co-op and invasions. Then compare weapons and other drops, but that was kind of cool too. For a start, we had to figure out how to beat the bosses ourselves. Two of friends agreed to play it the same way, and we would co-op the levels.Īnd its been way more fun. This time round I decided not to use Google or any Wikis - just figure out everything myself. So I was actually letting the Wiki guide me, rather than making my own decisions. Often it would usually reveal the best way to beat the boss on the same page.Īnd of course I would not level up my Dragon Sword, but instead save my upgrade materials for the Moonlight Sword and head to that area next. So then I would click on the Moonlight Sword link, and there it would describe the boss or area I had to beat to get that sword. I would search for it, and the Wiki would mention that this is the second best sword for my build, but that Moonlight Sword was the best. To a large extent, this meant the Wiki decided my gameplay.įor example, lets say I found the Dragon Sword. When I played Dark Soul 2, I looked up every weapon I found on a Dark Souls Wiki. ![]() Its been a great game, and I completed it last night. I got Dark Souls 3 on launch day (April) on the PS4. ![]()
